Masha Yankovskaya’s works are held in galleries and private collections in Russia and internationally. She currently lives and works in Moscow.

Masha Yankovskaya was born and educated in Saint Petersburg.
2006г
She graduated with distinction from the Ioganson Art Lyceum at the Russian Academy of Arts and enrolled at the Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design (historically known as the renowned “Mukhina School”), majoring in Fashion Design.
2010г
During her studies, Masha launched her own clothing line, creating original sketches for her designs. She later left the academy and began working as a producer at Sobaka.ru magazine.
2014г
Her first solo exhibition of graphic works took place at Winzavod Center for Contemporary Art in Moscow.
2016г
Her second exhibition in Moscow, Angle and Oval, marked the presentation of her painterly works in what would become her recognizable style.

Her first exhibition in Tallinn, Self-Identification, was held at Tallinn Portrait Gallery. In order to prepare for this show, Masha left her career in glossy media: “That’s when I realized that art was a serious commitment for me.”

That same year, she created what would become some of her iconic works: Unequal Marriage and The Kiss.

She began teaching design students at the Higher School of Economics (HSE), developing her own methodology for teaching plastic anatomy to beginner artists.
